#LIGHT the WORLD
My dearest family and friends!
What a week... That's all I have to say about that haha. I'm a little
short on time yet again, but I will do my best to make this email
great just for you lovely people! 😊
Anyways, one of the greatest highlights is that Tadem got
baptized!!!!! She was literally so excited and so cute! Her whole
family came to her baptism as well! None of them are members so that
made it even better! Her parents even came to church on Sunday it was
amazing! I totally know that they felt the spirit they had to have
whether they realized it or not! Getting that little seed started!
Haha
This week I have really noticed the importance of sacrament! Not only
is it a time to renew our baptismal covenants, but it honestly brings
so much strength. The strength that you need for the new week. It just
recharges your extremely dead (at times) battery. I love being able to
take the sacrament every week! I am so grateful that i have that
opportunity!
Light the world came out on Friday!! It is absolutely AMAZING!!!! If
you haven't seen it go and watch it! I have to give you an invitation
of course, so I invite you really take it to heart and to do the
amazing Christmas initiative! And invite anyone you meet to do it as
well! It will be amazing! Go to Mormon.org for more details on it!
It's amazing!! We try to show it to everyone we see! I could watch it
over and over again! Every time we watch it, the spirit just
phenomenal! So watch it, after you watch it then share it, after you
share it to watch it again, and then go and do it!!!!!
I hope you all have the best week ever! You are all phenomenal! Thank
you for your prayers! Remember who you are, and whatever else you do
don't forget.... the gospel is true!!
Love,
Sister Clark
Still Fishing in Fishing River
My dearest family and friends,
I don't have a whole lot of time today, but I will try my best. Great
news!! Sister Helmbold and I are still in Fishing River! Like my cute
little cheesy subject line said, we are still fishing for the prepared
and elect! Haha I know, funny sister Clark! Haha!
This week was packed full of lots of challenges!! But challenges lead
to growth and a stronger testimony of the Savior so I'm grateful for
that. It just seemed to be one of those weeks where no one kept any
appointments and everyone in Kearney went out of town or didn't answer
the door. It's always a good joke on us when the town coordinates like
that. That's okay though because we found some other neat people we
are hoping to start teaching! We meet this man named Mark who was
sitting on his porch having a "really bad day" and was "not interested
in y'all's church." We started talking to him and he was definitely
annoyed but then we read a scripture in the Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi
31:20, and there was a visible light that came through the spirit of
that verse! His heart softened and he almost even smiled a tiny bit!!
He said we could come back and teach him and so we are heading over
tomorrow. Neat little moment.
Oh and Tadem is still getting baptized this Saturday! I am so excited
for her! She is literally the cutest little thing! haha oh and last
night there was something called Presidents Devotional and thats when
recent converts can bear their testimonies and then President and
sister Vest share a little message. It's really neat! Anyways, Saleena
came and bore her testimony! she was super nervous but she did it and
she did such a phenomenal job! Her testimony is so strong and i cant
wait to see it grow even more!
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving! Remember to eat lots of
turkey, or whatever food you eat on thanksgiving and eat lots of pie!
(If you don't eat pie on thanksgiving then eat pie anyways because
it's the best!) and I have to say this, but think of everything that
you are thankful for! I am definitely grateful for my Savior Jesus
Christ and His atoning sacrifice! I am grateful that we don't have to
walk alone because he will always be there walking beside us!
Sorry this email is super short, but hey it's the best I can do! I
love you all! Thank you for your continual support and prayers! Have a
great week and an even better Thanksgiving! Remember who you are and
whatever else you do don't forget... the gospel is true!
Love,
Sister Clark
Are you the Mormon Missionaries?!
My dearest family and friends!
Wow what a week!! We were super busy, and the best part is, is that we saw so many miracles! I don't have a lot of time to email today, but I will try my best! First, this week is transfers and I literally cannot believe it! I also can't believe that I entered the MTC exactly two months ago! CRAZY!!! I'm stressing about transfers but Sister Helmbold is still the true MVP and helping me pull through the stress! Bless her sweet soul!
Tadem is getting baptized on the 26 now because it's stake conference next week. But she is so excited! We went to the visitors center with her and Sister Roberts which was super spiritual! I am so excited for her!
Now onto the miracles! The biggest one is.... SALEENA FINALLY GOT BAPTIZED!! It was kind of a surprise but we are beyond excited that she finally just did it! Funny story, one night she just called us and was like okay let's get together and talk dates! So we did and we set it for Saturday November 12 at 6:00! That was a miracle! It was my first baptism so that made it even more special!
One day while we were in Excelsior Springs we felt like we should go and visit this potential investigator at these one apartments, so we did. As we were there they said that the guy we were looking for didn't live there any more and they weren't interested either. That was a bummer! But we felt like we needed to stay there at the complex so we knocked on a couple doors. We knocked on one door and they weren't home, so we knocked on another one. This cute old guy opens the door, but said he wasn't interested. So that was again a bummer. We started to leave and i was standing behind the car waiting to back Sister Helmbold and all of a sudden a lady comes out of her house and was like "Are you the missionaries I talked to on the phone?" I looked at her and was like what is your name? She told us her name is Shelda. Sister Helmbold and I started to talk to her a little more and she was like, "are you here to deliver me a Book of Mormon?" We gladly told her we have one just for her. Apparently she ordered a Book of Mormon because her boyfriend is a recently baptized member of the RLDS church. So we aren't sure if they ordered our Book of Mormon or one from the RLDS church but hey she has our Book of Mormon and we are super excited to hopefully teach her this week! It was such a tender mercy and definitely a miracle!
Today we went to lunch with my favorite sisters ever! Sister Morgan and Sister Baggett and of course Sister Helmbold! Seriously though they are absolutely amazing! I am surrounded by the best of the best missionaries! Their examples are phenomenal! I am just so blessed to be in this mission at this time with the people I am surrounded with!
Thank you all for your prayers and your support! I love you!!

ONE MONTH?!?!
My dearest family and friends,
This week has been crazy! I still can't believe that I have been out in Missouri for A MONTH! It feels just like yesterday I got here! I love Missouri and the people here as well! The work is going amazing and I love it so much!! We are still busy so that's amazing! Right now we are trying to find more people to teach, and I am so excited to find more of Heavenly Fathers, our brothers and sisters, who are prepared to hear the great news about this amazing gospel! Probably the best thing about being a missionary is the fact that I do get to testify of my Heavenly Father and savior Jesus Christ every single day!
I have learned so much about myself this past week and more importantly I have learned so much about my Savior! I have learned more about His Atonement and how I can apply it into my daily life! It's amazing! I love the strength and the peace it brings in a sometimes crazy world! As we continually learn more about it and apply it in our lives we will be so blessed and we could conquer everything and anything that comes our way! How phenomenal would that be?
Our investigators! Oh how I love them! Tadem is still super excited and super ready to get baptized on the 19! We are super excited for her! She is literally the sweetest! She is now a first class black belt, how crazy cool is that?!? You really don't want to mess with her! then we have Saleena! She is teaching us so much about patience! Bless her sweet soul, she just wants everyone to make it to her baptism so she keeps on changing her date. She will get baptized we know it, we just don't know when. I just adore her though! Then we have Mago! We had this member who speaks fluent Spanish and he came and taught the lesson with us! Even though we didn't really understand everything he was saying the spirit was super strong! It was amazing! We also went and visited him at work and it totally made his day! It was actually his birthday and we just figured that out today! He is so funny! He also bought us our lunch! He is super sweet! We have some others that are progressing and I'm super excited about each of them!
Now I have to continue to brag about my companion! I absolutely adore her! She is so beyond amazing! She continues to help me stretch and become the best missionary that I can be! She is super encouraging and always supportive! She is so patient and I am learning SOO much from her! I literally don't know what I did to deserve to have her as my companion/trainer! She is literally the best! And I just love her!
I know that our Heavenly Father is so beyond aware of each and every one of us! I know that he loves us more than we can comprehend! He so badly wants us to turn to Him and partake of his peace and everlasting joy! I am so grateful that I have this amazing opportunity to be one of his missionaries and to represent my Savior Jesus Christ! Thank you for all of your love and support! Thank you for your prayers! You all are amazing! Remember who you are and whatever else you do don't forget... The gospel is true!
LOVE YOU!!
Love,
Sister Clark
Happy Halloween
My dearest friends and family!!
Wow I can't believe it's already Monday! This week as gone by super
fast!!! We were super busy though!! So first it was my companions
birthday! We were super busy that day!! We started out with cleaning
this house, okay a room from this house. Let's just say I'm grateful
for my mother and her cleanliness! We were there for like 3 hours with
the elders as well! The room looks SOOO much better!! And then we went
to a couple of appointments and found a new investigator! He just
randomly started talking to us and we've had a lesson with him! He
broke his foot so when we went to go teach him a lesson afterwards we
were like what can we do for you? And he was like well you can make me
a sandwich.... so we did! Service! 😂😂 it was super funny to us!
We also helped set up for the ward party too! Let me just say that
that ward party was INSANE!!! They had a bouncy castle, and tons of
games, they had a band, and trunk or treat! The sister that was in
charge of it totally went ALL out! It was crazy!!!! But we had an
incredible turn out! We invited everyone in our ward to invite one of
their nonmember friends! Guess what?!? So there are about 120 ish that
come to church or are active, but we had over 320 people show up!!!!
How insane is that? Our ward is beyond phenomenal when it comes to
inviting and just missionary work! It was the craziest party ever! We
tried to talk to as many people as we could! We met so many less
actives and nonmembers it was amazing!
We sadly didn't have a baptism again this week! 😢 she wanted to
reschedule so that her mom could come! Her mom isn't a member so we
thought it would be for the better anyways. So her being a teenager,
she is still trying to pick a date, but it should be either Thursday
or Saturday! We hope!!!
On our way to dinner last night we had such a cool experience! We were
walking into the apartment and there was this guy outside, we felt
prompted to go talk to him. We had a super great talk with him and he
is interested in learning more. We bore our testimonies on how through
Christ we can get through the hard times! He will be there to help us
every step of the way if we let Him! So we set up an appointment to
meet with him again! Then we started walking in again and there was
this girl standing outside. We started talking with her and she's had
a harder life and she wants to learn more about our church and how
Christ can bring us peace! So we are setting up and appointment with
her! The tender mercies are phenomenal and i am so grateful for our
Heavenly Fathers hand in my life! He is there and is so aware of us at
every point in our lives!
I know that our Heavenly Father loves us more than we can imagine! I
know that because He loves us so much that he sent His son Jesus
Christ to come and atone for our sins! I know that He is so aware of
us at every point in our lives! He is desperately wanting us to turn
to Him! I am so grateful for the opportunity to be able to testify of
Him every single day! I love Him! He loves you! I love this gospel! It
has changed my life!
I love you all!!!! I hope you have a great week and a very happy Halloween!
Love your favorite,
Sister Clark!
The cute picture with the cutie kids! I love this family so much!!
This is the Roberts family I'll probably talk about them a lot!

*knock, knock* Who's There? *SLAM!*
Hey there my wonderful family and friends!!!
So I don't have like anytime today! It's a crazy crazy day! So this
won't be super long! So sorry!!
This week has been crazy! We have had a lot of lessons! We also had
exchanges so I was in north Kansas City for a day! It was a lot of
fun! Oh I was with sister Flake! She is super sweet and just so
nice!!! We put two of our investigators on date!!!!!! Tadem is going
to get baptized on November 19! And Saleena is getting baptized this
Saturday!!!!!! I am so excited!!!! We also had a phenomenal lesson
with Allan the other day!! The spirit was so strong! We taught it in
the library so that was different but it was amazing! We all walked
away having learned something! That lesson was something that I needed
and I just loved how the spirit worked throughout that lesson!
We did a lot of knocking on doors this week! I was terrified, but
Sister Helmbold being the amazing person the is made me do it anyways!
The first one I knocked on, I was getting myself really pumped up and
they weren't home! Bummer..... and then the next one was a super cute
house so we knocked and I was getting myself pumped up, they opened
the door and I was just standing there smiling and started to say hey
how are you? And then she's like I'm not interested and slammed the
door.... awkward.. It's times like that when you just have to smile
and be positive about it!
Iseriously have the best companion ever!! She is the best ever!!! Oh
and tomorrow is her birthday! I seriously just adore her and don't
know what I did to deserve to have her! She is such an example and is
always making me stretch out of my comfort zone!
It was Sister Morgans birthday on Friday! We went out to a Sushi
restaurant!!!! I know me and sushi!! Don't worry I ate rice! 😂 I
tricked you!! I seriously LOVE sister Morgan and Sister Baggett! Ugh
we just have the best sisters ever in this mission! This mission is
the best of the best!
I love being a missionary!!!!!! It is the most rewarding thing ever!!
I have learned so much about myself and about my Savior! I know that
He is always there! I know that He is so aware of us at all times! He
knows us completely! He wants us to turn to Him! He hears and answers
us! We are never too far, or unworthy of His love! I hope you all have
a great week!
Sorry this wasn't too long or excited or anything! I love you all so
much! Thank you so much for your examples! Remember who you are and
whatever else you do don't forget, the gospel is tire!
Enjoy my many pictures!

My dearest family and friends!
Wow WHAT A WEEK! I mean I'll probably say that every time, but it was
quite and eventful one! We are SUPER busy here in the Fishing River
ward (Celestial Kingdom) we had like at least 5 lessons a day with a
different either less active or investigator! So it's super crazy but
super amazing!!! Something that I love about our bishop is that he is
trying to get all of the members in the ward to think differently. He
said instead of thinking I need to go to the grocery store, and maybe
if someone comes along I'll share the gospel, instead think I'm going
to the store to be a missionary and grab some eggs while I'm at it!
How cool is that?! It makes you have to act and do! This ward is huge
in "Just doing it". They aren't just talkers they are for sure
walkers. It's awesome! They are super involved with missionary work!
We had 7 members present this week with lessons! That is HUGE!! The
ward is the best! I feel so blessed to be able to serve here my very
first area! I love it more than I can describe!
I love Missouri! It is absolutely gorgeous!! The fall is oh my

E.R. this week! It turned into a two night stay! It wasn't me though,
it was for my companion. So here's the story........ On Thursday we
were in a lesson with one of our investigators Chloe and towards the
end I kind of noticed that Sister Helmbold wasn't comfortable,
something was bothering her! Well we ended the lesson and said goodbye
to Chloe and the member that was with us August and then Sister
Helmbold looked at me and was like Sister I need to go to the
bathroom.. Well we were in there for a solid 10-15 minutes.. She felt
like she had to throw up,well it never happened. And she was in A LOT
of pain in her lower right side in her stomach. I was so worried and
had no idea what to do. We were at the church by the way! So we went
home she was like in tears I was terrified! I was calling everyone to
know what we need to do. I got ahold of our nurse and she said she
thinks it could be her appendix. Well we called a member Sister
Roberts and she came and took us to the hospital. So long story short
they did a ton of tests, like a cat scan, ultra sound, blood work
etc..... It was crazy! The doctor came in and was like it could be two
things, and ovarian cyst or her appendix. They weren't for sure even
after all of those tests.. Well they decided that they were going to
admit her to the hospital. Sister Vest came out to the hospital and
just spent some time with us. The member sister Roberts stayed there
the entire time too! Super sweet! Anyways so we had the opportunity to
have a slumber party at the hospital! PARTY!! I got to sleep in a
chair!!! Yeah not much sleep..... Haha anyway so in the morning the
doctor came in and was like I don't think it's your appendix, but we
aren't positive on what it is. So we are going to watch you today and
you might be able to go home this afternoon if everything goes well.
We were like okay deal! So we just had a party in the room. Sister
Helmbold took a lot of naps which was super good! I read the entire
book of 2 Nephi which was amazing!!! Haha I had a lot of time on my
hands! We had lots of visitors which was super fun! President and
Sister a Vest came by and forced her to eat! That was funny! I love
President and Sister vest they are super sweet! Sister Roberts brought
me lots of food! She was literally like my mom! I loved it! She's our
mission mom for sure! Anyways so the day passed and the doctor never
came!! We were waiting and waiting and waiting... Well we kept asking
the nurses when they were going to let her go home. She was still in
pain even with the medication. I felt so bad for her!!! My heart was
breaking for her! Anyways so later that night we had some other sister
missionaries in the area come and visit! Sister Morgan and Sister
Baggett! I love them! Oh back up a little, so we were trying to share
the gospel with everyone at the hospital. Sister Helmbold kept on
saying we aren't here for my stomach we are here to share the gospel,
so we were praying to find that opportunity! Anyways so shortly after
the Sisters came Sister Helmbolds new nurse for the night walked in.
She was like I knew when I first saw you that you were a missionary
from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints. You brought the
spirit and I knew you were from God! We talked to her and she said
that the missionaries have found her everywhere she has went. She's
from Tansania and they were there too! We then explained how there is
a reason Heavenly Father has sent you all of these sister
missionaries. We gave her some scriptures to read and crazy thing is
is that she is in Sister Morgan's and Sister Baggetts area! They got
ahold of her and they are meeting with her on Wednesday! The spirit
was seriously SOOO strong in that room! After she left we were just
freaking out about the super cool experience that just happened. And
then Sister Helmbold sat up with tears in her eyes and said, my pain
is gone! I don't feel anymore pain! Then the next day she was able to
go home with NO pain medication! God is SO aware of us at all times!
It was a miracle! I am so grateful for that opportunity!
it was for my companion. So here's the story........ On Thursday we
were in a lesson with one of our investigators Chloe and towards the

that the missionaries have found her everywhere she has went. She's
from Tansania and they were there too!
Wow this is super long.... Sorry...... Hahah I love being able to see
the little miracles that happen everyday! I love this gospel and the
joy it brings to me! I am so grateful for the opportunity to be able
to testify of my Savior everyday!!! I love you all!!! Have a great
week! Remember who you are and whatever else you do don't forget....
The gospel is true!!!
Love Sister Clark
P.s. Most of these pictures are of us in the hospital, but the one
with the cute girls is when we went to the Liberty jail last night
with one of our investigators who is SUPER close to picking a baptism
date! She is right in the middle! Her name is Tadem!! I love her so
much!!!

Hello Missouri
My dearest Family and Friends!!!
I hope you have had the best week ever!!! There has been so much that
has happened this past week for me! It's been super busy but I
wouldn't want it any other way!! This will probably be very scattered
but hey when am I not scattered!
So I had my last couple of days at the MTC! The MTC was great but I am
so happy to be out in the field! I had to say goodbye to all of my
friends! My district was amazing and I miss them so much!! They were
like my family and it was so hard to say goodbye to them! It was also
super hard to say goodbye to my teachers! They literally changed my
life and I miss them so much!!! They are beyond amazing!!!
The day we left was super great! I was super excited and couldn't stop
talking about it! I probably drove everyone crazy! But it's fine!! I
was super excited I just couldn't hide it! And then when I got on the
plane that is when it hit me! Not the nerves.... But the sick! I got
SUPER sick! I didn't feel good at all! I was so congested and honestly
I don't think I've ever felt that sick in a very long time! Well I
powered through the hour and a half flight and then we were in
Missouri and met our amazing mission president! Yeah I was still
feeling super crappy but it's fine!! We went to the temple and took
pictures and so that was super fun!
I absolutely love my companion! She is absolutely amazing and I don't
know what I did to deserve to have her as my trainer! She has already
changed my life and it's only been a couple of days! She is always
making sure that I'm doing okay and always making sure that I
understand something! She is always positive and I love that so much!
I could go on and on about her! Oh yeah and she can sing amazingly!
She's just amazing and there are not enough words to describe her! She
is super short so it's kind of funny seeing us together! But I love
her!
So I am literally in Zion and on top of that I am serving in the
"Celestial Kingdom" ward! Which is true! The ward here is phenomenal,
the bishop is super encouraging of missionary work and so is the ward!
They are constantly trying to help us out and willing to do whatever!
We also have SOOOO many investigators and SOO many in actives that we
are working on! There is a cute 13 year old named Tadem and she is so
cute and we are hoping to commit her to baptism soon! Then there is
Kris and she actually has a baptism date set, she set that with Sister
Helmbold and her companion before I got here. Then we have Steven and
he is super sweet! He has sooo much faith and he hasn't even took any
lessons and been to church yet! I am so excited to teach him more! We
have Saleena she is 17 and she hopefully is setting a baptism date
tonight! And then there is Chloe she is 18 and she is setting a
baptism date hopefully this week she might even get baptized Saturday?
We aren't sure! We have so many others but I am still trying to get to
know their names and meeting all of them!
I love it here so much! It is my favorite thing ever! I am so blessed
to be a missionary! We pray all the time which I love! We have seen so
many miracles because of our faith and our prayers! THEY WORK! USE
PRAYER EVERYDAY FOR EVERYTHING!!! Oh I also had my first rejections!
It was actually on my first full day with Sister Helmbold! It was a
super great day and then we went to this house that we felt like we
should stop at and they told us they didn't want to hear about our
church right now, so it was a bummer! Then we went somewhere else and
had a great experience and hen we saw this lady walking and we just
said hi and she shot back I'm busy girls.... Awkward!!! It reminded me
of Sister Swallow, yay....waaaa...yay... Waaa.... Yay!! Sorry most of
you probably won't understand, but a select few will! We ended on a
super great note by having our many spiritual and many miracles! My
eyes have been opened and I am so grateful for missionary work! We eat
at members houses like almost every day! It's amazing!!! We also work
out everyday which is a have to do type of thing!
Oh our car broke down today, well it wouldn't start... We had to call
a member... Awkward. Haha that was a great adventure!
I love being able to testify of my savior every day! He has done so
much for me and so it's time I give back a small portion of what he
has done for me! I love Him and I know without a doubt that he lives
and he loves us more than we could ever imagine! He is ALWAYS aware of
us at every point in our lives and is always willing to listen to us!
He wants us to turn to him!
I love you all and I hope you have a great week! Thank you for your
support and your love!
